Os finalistas foram anunciados para o British Animation Awards, que acontecerá no dia 7 de março no BFI Southbank de Londres.
Concorrendo ao prêmio de melhor longa-metragem estão “Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget”, “A Cat Called Dom”, “Kensuke’s Kingdom”, “Puffin Rock and The New Friends” e “The Amazing Maurice”.
“Christopher at Sea”, “The Debutante” e “All Gucci My Broski” estão indicados na categoria curta-metragem.
Adjoa Andoh, Benedict Cumberbatch, Emilia Clarke, Idris Elba, Claire Foy, Tom Hollander e Hugh Laurie estão entre os membros do elenco indicados para melhor dublagem por “Mog’s Christmas”, “The Amazing Maurice” e “The Boy, the Mole, The A Raposa e o Cavalo.”
A BAA também reconhece conquistas na televisão, com “Tweedy & Fluff”, “The Sound Collector – Harp Strings”, “The Rubbish World of Dave Spud – Moonbreaker” e “Lloyd of the Flies” indicados para melhor série infantil.
Na categoria de melhor música original, o compositor David Arnold foi indicado por “Mog’s Christmas”, ao lado de Beth Porter e Ben Plea por “Tweedy and Fluff” e Stuart Hancock por “Kensuke’s Kingdom”.
A BAA informa que a ITV lidera a lista de emissoras com um total de seis indicações. BBC, Channel 5 e Netflix receberam cinco reconhecimentos, enquanto o Channel 4 recebeu quatro e a Sky três.
Enquanto isso, o estúdio de animação Lupus Films recebeu sete indicações; A Aardman Animations recebeu cinco e a Illuminated Film Company obteve três reconhecimentos.
